uvula pl. uvulae [L.] a small median prolongation of the soft palate occurring in humans and pigs. uvula of bladder a rounded elevation at the neck of the bladder, formed by convergence of muscle fibers terminating in the urethra. Called also uvula vesicae. uvula cerebelli a lobule that is the posterior limit of the fourth ventricle of the brain. Called also uvula vermis. palatine uvula, uvula palatina the small, fleshy mass hanging from the soft palate above the root of the tongue. uvula vermis the part of the vermis of the cerebellum between the pyramid and nodule. uvula vesicae uvula of bladder.
