tyroma

An obsolete, nonspecific term that formerly dignified a “tumour” with a caseous consistency, which could have included such diverse entities as a dermoid cyst, gouty tophus, metastatic adenocarcinoma with central necrosis, sebaceous cyst and tuberculous nodule with caseous necrosis.
