tunica /tu·ni·ca/ (too´nĭ-kah) pl. tu´nicae [L.] a tunic; in anatomy, a general term for a membrane or other structure covering or lining a body part or organ.
tunica adventi´tia the outer coat of various tubular structures, made up of connective tissue and elastic fibers.

tunica albugi´nea a dense, white, fibrous sheath enclosing a part or organ.
tunica conjuncti´va the conjunctiva.
