lymph (limf) a transparent, usually slightly yellow, often opalescent liquid found within the lymphatic vessels, and collected from tissues in all parts of the body and returned to the blood via the lymphatic system. Its cellular component consists chiefly of lymphocytes. aplastic lymph , corpuscular lymph lymph that contains an excess of leukocytes and does not tend to become organized. euplastic lymph , fibrinous lymph that which tends to coagulate and become organized. inflammatory lymph lymph produced by inflammation, as in wounds. tissue lymph lymph derived from body tissues and not from the blood.
