a dissociative anesthetic agent, most commonly used in combination with zolazepam which provides better muscle relaxation and reduces the incidence of convulsions and muscle tremors.

Immobilization of free ranging red foxes (Vulpes vulpes) with tiletamine hydrochloride and zolazepam hydrochloride.
Two new substances - Ketamine, often known as 'Special K' among users, and Tiletamine - are joining the banned list alongside Ecstasy, cannabis and others.
These include anti-depressants, other sedative medication including the original antihistamines and, reflecting the current use of ''recreational drugs'', Ketamine and Tiletamine.
