thoracic visceral node,
a node in the three groups of lymph nodes connected to the part of the lymphatic system that serves certain structures within the thorax, such as the liver, sternum, thymus, pericardium, esophagus, trachea, lungs, diaphragm, and bronchi. The thoracic visceral nodes include the anterior mediastinal nodes, posterior mediastinal nodes, and tracheobronchial nodes. Compare thoracic parietal node.
