tetrahydropalmatine (teˈ·tr n an alkaloid derived from the tuber of corydalis, Corydalis turtschaninovii, and various other species of plants and acts as a pain-relieving and sleep-inducing agent. It is the active ingredient in Chinese jin bu huan anodyne capsules. Fatigue, vertigo, drowsiness, and nausea are possible side effects.
