tactile localization
Etymology: L, tactus + locus, place
the ability to identify, without looking, the exact point on the body where a tactile stimulus is applied. The localization test is applied in sensory evaluation tests.

localization,
n a direct, exact site or restriction to a limited area, such as localization of abscess.
localization, radiographic,
n determination, by means of radiographs, of the location of an object or structure in the body or head. Usually accomplished by obtaining radiographs made from different angulations to the part in question.
localization, tactile,
n the property of localization associated with the sense of touch. Perception of the location of a stimulus is more precise in the regions of the lips and the fingertips than elsewhere. This more precise perception results from a greater density of special touch receptors in a given area.
