the strong fibrous band that bridges the scapular notch creating a foramen that gives passage to the suprascapular nerve, whereas the suprascapular vessels pass over the ligament superiorly.

suprascapular ligament

Etymology: L, supra, above, scapula, shoulder blade, ligare, to bind
a ligament that extends from the base of the coracoid process to the medial end of the suprascapular notch.

suprascapular ligament

A thin fibrous band of tissue extending from the base of the coracoid process of the scapula to the inner margin of the suprascapular notch. The suprascapular artery passes over this ligament and the suprascapular nerve passes under the ligament.
