stereoradiography

    0.01 sec.
ster·e·o·ra·di·og·ra·phy (str--rd-gr-f)
n.
The method of taking radiographs from two slightly different positions so as to obtain a stereoscopic effect.

stereoradiography
[-ra′dē·og′rəfē]
Etymology: Gk, stereos + L, radiare, to emit rays; Gk, graphein, to record
a technique for producing radiographs that give a three-dimensional view of an internal body structure. The stereoradiographs are produced by combining two separate x-ray films, each made from a slightly different angle without movement of the body part being x-rayed. The developed films are then viewed through a device that allows the two images to be perceived as one.

stereoradiography [ster″e-o-ra″de-og´rah-fe]
the making of a radiograph giving an impression of depth as well as of width and height.

stereoradiography, stereoroentenography
paired radiographs of a part, taken from slightly different angles, and viewed with a stereoscopic device, giving a three-dimensional effect.
