Image intensities at discrete locations throughout the sample are sensitive to both instrument settings and sample-dependent such as proton spin density or water content.
Weiss, who has been intimately involved in the effort to verify the predictions of quantum mechanics by describing the positions, momenta and spin density of electrons on atoms, was also the original organizer of the Sagamore Conferences, in which thousands of researchers participated in studying the complexity of electron arrangements.
