n.
A chronic pathological condition in which the muscles are affected by persistent spasms and exaggerated tendon reflexes because of damage to the central nervous system.

spastic paralysis Neurology Paralysis characterized by spasms and ↑ tendon reflexes of the muscle(s) in the paralyzed region, due to upper motor neuron disease. See Spasm. Cf Flaccid paralysis.
