actinic cheilitis  pain and swelling of the lips and development of a scaly crust on the vermilion border after exposure to actinic rays; it may be acute or chronic.

Mucosal atrophy, crusting, and fissuring of the border of the lips in old individuals, resulting from chronic exposure to sunlight. Also called actinic cheilitis.

n crusting, desquamation, ulceration, atrophy, and inflammation of the lips, especially the lower lip, caused by chronic exposure to the elements and actinic rays of sunlight.
