Q. Is it true that fibromyalgia is a disability? I haven't worked long enough to draw my regular social security, the fibromyalgia i have had since 1996 keeps me from working, so why can't i get ssi and some health insurance please help me.

A. You will need to use your medical records to prove that your fibromyalgia is bad enough to be a disability. Contact your state social services department or a disability lawyer to guide you through the process.

Q. What are some things that I can do to deal with ADHD during the summer? I just found out at the end of last school (university) year that I have ADHD. I'm not taking classes now and am working on my parent’s farm for the summer. I am especially concerned with my social troubles, but do not have any access to social situations here (REALLY small town and all the people my age are gone for summer -- plus I've never really had any friends to start with). What are some things that I can do now to make next year better?

Q. Social Anxiety I have found myself wondering more and more about social anxiety. My partner seemed to develop social anxiety around the same time she was diagnosed bipolar. i am wondering how many of you also suffer from soical anxiety and if you feel it is a result of bipolar disorder (perhaps personal knowledge of the possible behaviours associated with the illness) or if it is a seperate and unrelated symptom?

A. Social Anxiety Disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S. with 19.1 million (13.3%) of the adult U.S. population (ages 18-54) affected. and i think (not investigated- just an assumption) people with Bipolar disorder can easily develop shyness and would want to avoid social activities just because they think that other people wouldn't understand their problem.
