skim milk (skm)
n.
The milk from which the cream has been removed.

skim milk
the residue from whole milk after the cream has been skimmed off. In today's usage it is the residue after the butterfat is removed.

skim milk extender
skim milk used as a diluent for semen. See also semen extender.
skim milk powder
dehydrated skim milk used extensively as a milk replacer provided it is not too expensive. A high-protein supplement but deficient in vitamins A and D both of which will have been extracted with the butterfat.
