Basada en la homeopatia, sistema de medicina alternativa descubierta hacia 1796 por el medico y quimico aleman Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) bajo el postulado hipocratico Similia similibus curantur (lo semejante cura a lo semejante), la agrohomeopatia traslada sus principios fundamentales a las plantas.

Talvez nas suas investigacoes a respeito dos principios da homeopatia tivesse constatado as implicacoes mais coletivas implicitas em similia similibus curantur e se dado conta da necessidade de curar tambem a sociedade de seus males.
Luego resultara como consecuencia --a lo mejor previsible-- que el tratamiento apropiado para este tipo de afecciones es, por decirlo asi, homeopatico: similia similibus curantur.
