silvex
a weedkiller, warranted to be safe for animals at the concentrations used to spray plants. Poisoning can be produced experimentally. Characterized by depression, anorexia, weakness especially of the hindquarters. May cause an increase in nitrate content of plants and lead to nitrite poisoning in ruminants. Use of this compound has been discontinued.
