sham rage

an outburst of motor activity resembling the outward manifestations of fear and anger, occurring in decorticated animals and in certain pathological conditions in humans.

rage syndrome

possibly a type of psychomotor seizure, of uncertain etiology; reported in Springer spaniels. Because of the unpredictable and dangerous nature of the episodes or rage, euthanasia is usually advised.
