Iraq's main Arab parties are beginning to shift from sectarian to secular currents, a trend which is badly affecting Iran's increasingly expensive attempts to control the country, with its Shi'ite Prime Minister (PM) Nuri al-Maleki already secularising his faction of al-Da'wa al-Islamiya movement which is split into pro- and anti-Iran groups (see rim1-IraqMalekiJan19-09).
As such, he is secularising his Da'wa (which in Arabic means the call).
As far as I can ascertain, there is no Buddhist or Hindu politics of guilt, and to the extent that such fora has taken root among Christians, it generally thrives best, although not exclusively, in secularising Protestant societies.
