A two-dimensional record of the distribution of a radioactive tracer in a tissue or organ. Also called photoscan, scintigraph, scintiscan.

Scintigram
A nuclear angiogram; a scintigram involves injection of a radioactive substance into the patient's circulatory system. As the substance travels through the body, a special scanning camera takes pictures.

This combination gives good results and we expect that further studies on automatic scintigram diagnostics using reference points for image segmentation will improve the accuracy and reliability of results regarding previous approaches.
