saturation recovery

An MRI term for a little-used pulse sequence that generates a predominately proton-density-dependent signal, using a 90° radio freuency excitation pulse with a very long repetition time (TR). Saturation recovery allows the saturated spins to return to equilibrium before the next pulse is activated.
