Saluki

Saluki
a medium-sized, very fine, graceful dog with a fine, silky coat of white, cream or shades of tan or red, sometimes with black and tan, that is flat on the body, but forms slight 'feathers' on the legs, ears, tail, and sometimes thighs and shoulders. There is also a smooth variety, which has no feathering. The entire dog is long and supple, suggesting its origins as a sight-hunting, desert dog. Believed to be the oldest known breed of domesticated dog. Called also Gazelle hound, Persian greyhound.
