2. situated in the direction of the sagittal suture; said of an anteroposterior plane or section parallel to the median plane of the body.

Etymology: L, sagitta, arrow
(in anatomy) pertaining to a suture or an imaginary line extending from the front to the back in the midline of the body or a part of the body, dividing into right and left parts.

2. situated in the direction of the sagittal suture; said of an anteroposterior plane or section parallel to the median plane of the body.
