According to a study published in the Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, out of 182 cases of ruptured aortic aneurysm that were examined retrospectively, the days on which these patients presented had a significantly lower average atmospheric pressure than days on which no rupture occurred.
After a three day inquest at Teesside Coroners' Court, the cause of death was recorded as being due to shock and haemorrhaging, as a result of a ruptured aortic aneurysm, which was brought on by stenosing atherosclerosis and impaired cardiac function.
Her mum, Diana, was only 50 when she suffered a ruptured aortic aneurysm - when the main artery bursts.
