The patient had fever, rash, epistaxis, headache, myalgia, retroocular pain, nausea, vomiting, jaundice, sore throat, and abdominal pain.
Superiorly, the lesion extended through the orbital floor in the retroocular region, displacing the inferior rectus muscle superiorly (figure 1, B).
Three days later, all four had a sudden onset of malaise, fever (up to 40[degrees]C), retroocular pain, generalized headache, conjunctival suffusion, flushing of the face and neck, myalgias, and severe incapacitating polyarthralgias and polyarthritis which mainly involved the small joints of the hands, wrists, ankles, and toes.
