aortography by the injection of contrast medium into the aorta through one of its branches, for example, the brachial artery, in a direction against normal arterial blood flow.

retrograde aortography

Aortography by injection of a contrast medium into the aorta via one of its branches, and thus against the direction of the blood flow.
