regressively transformed germinal centre

regressively transformed germinal centre

A finding of uncertain significance seen in lymph nodes, classically described in the plasma cell variant of Castleman’s disese, which is characterised by small germinal centres, a marked paucity of lymphocytes, an “onion-skin” layering of dentritic reticulum cells, fibroblasts, vascular endothelial cells and eosinophilic, hyalinised, PAS-positive intercellular material.
