1. a laboratory vessel, usually of glass and with a constricted neck.
2. a metal case in which materials used in making artificial dentures are placed for processing.

Erlenmeyer flask  a conical glass flask with a broad base and narrow neck.
volumetric flask  a narrow-necked vessel of glass calibrated to contain or deliver an exact volume at a given temperature.
