Calandrinia
genus of the plant family Portulacaceae.

Calandrinia balonensis, Calandrinia polyandra
used commonly as feed for cattle and sheep grazed extensively in arid and semi-arid areas of Australia, these plants have a high oxalate content and are suspected of causing deaths in wethers due to obstructive urolithiasis. Called also parakeelia, parakeelya.

Identical twins Amy and Julie Witter, from Red Maids School in Bristol, got three As each.
The red maids and blue larkspur in the Santa Clarita woodlands are especially nice, as are the California blackberry and purple nightshade in the Santa Monica Mountains, the hotline said.
The prominent flowers on the reserve are the golden poppies, but mixed in are tiny yellow goldfields and wild parsley, white forget-me-nots, red maids, lavender lacy phacelia, blue dicks and purple owl's clover.
