Radiographic absorptiometry (RA) is a technique for bone mass measurement from radiographs of peripheral sites, most commonly the hand or heel.
The OsteoGram(R) is a test that measures bone mass using standard x-ray equipment and relies on Radiographic Absorptiometry (RA) technology.
This study shows, however, that radiographic absorptiometry (RA) is as reliable as the more expensive and complex techniques.
