radiographer

a radiological technologist whose work is the making of diagnostic radiographs. Duties depend on legislative constraints but may include positioning animals for radiological examinations; determining the proper voltage, current and exposure time for each radiograph and adjusting the x-ray equipment; the production of radiographs requested by the veterinarian; developing the x-ray film; and assisting the radiologist in special procedures and in the preparation of radiopaque contrast media.
