A germinacao das sementes foi avaliada diariamente, sendo utilizada a emergencia da radicula como criterio de germinacao (Bewley e Black, 1994).
Considerou-se, como germinada, a semente que originou a plantula, com radicula e/ou epicotilo igual ou superior a 0,5 cm de comprimento.
