quack (kwak) one who misrepresents their ability and experience in diagnosis and treatment of disease or effects to be achieved by their treatment.
quack. See charlatan. quack, n one who professes to have medical or dental skill that is not possessed; one who practices medicine or dentistry without adequate preparation or proper qualification. quack slang for a person who misrepresents his/her qualifications as a veterinarian, and therefore ability and experience in diagnosis and treatment of animal disease or the effects to be achieved by the treatment. Refers usually to a person without any qualifications who practices in breach of the local veterinary regulations and is liable to a heavy fine as a result. quack adjective Unproven, see there noun Charlatan, montebank A person who impersonates a physician.
