qi, nutritive (chē),
n one of the two forms of qi that true qi assumes; yin in nature, it nourishes the internal organs as well as the entire body. It moves in the body through the blood vessels along with the blood and in the channels of the body. During acupuncture, this is the qi being activated. See also true qi.
