pyrethrum
flowers of the plants Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium (syn. Pyrethrum cinerariaefolium) and C. coccineum (syn. C. roseum). Called also Dalmatian or Persian insect powder. The insecticidal agents are the pyrethrins.
