pyloric orifice

Etymology: Gk, pyle, gate, ouros, guard; L, orificium, opening

the opening of, or passage between, the stomach into the duodenum, lying to the right of the midline at the level of the upper border of the first lumbar vertebra. The orifice is usually indicated on the surface of the stomach by the circular duodenopyloric constriction.

large, oval opening at the end of the omasal canal which communicates with the abomasum.

oviductal orifice

a slit-like opening in the avian urodeum.

pyloric orifice

aperture between the stomach and duodenum; opens infrequently, solely for the passage of ingesta.

ureteric orifice

paired orifices in the neck of the bladder.
