A sampling of surgeries includes pyeloplasty, ureterocytoplasty, sigma diverticulitis, prostatectomy, penile carcinoma, mesh graft urethroplasty, female stress incontinence, vesicovaginal fistulas, bladder substitution, and splenectomy.
Materials and Methods: Since the inception of urologic laparoscopy in the mid-1990s, 25 ureterolithotomy, four pyelolithotomy, seven pyeloplasty with renal pelvic stone removal, and two laparoscopic nephrolithotomies for calyceal diverticular stones have been performed at our institution.
On the other hand, laparoscopic pyeloplasty has been reported to be 86% to 100% successful in cases with a crossing vessel and seldom leads to vascular injury.
