A Whipple's disease-like condition, which may occur in Mycobacterium avium complex in AIDS, also found in a CNS isolate from a young homosexual ♂ with AIDS-related complex, linked to Corynebacterium equi, agent of suppurative equine pneumonia. Cf Whipple's disease.
