I want to know what makes my daughter to eat soil when I provide her with nutritional diet. My daughter is 5 years old and she is mad about soil. She eats the garden soil. But yesterday I found her eating soil which she had kept inside the house to play. I don’t know since when she is eating soil. I want to know what makes her to eat soil when I provide her with nutritional diet. A. Our son did the same thing when he was 4-5. The doctor said he was fine and it was just an attention getting behavior. When we stopped making a fuss about it he stopped. I just cleaned the dirt out of his mouth and put the plants up to a higher level. We also made sure that we did not put any plant food or other chemical in the plants inside and out just to be on the safe side. He is now 22 years old and has been very healthy his whole life. Good luck with your daugher. Get her checked to be safe but don't make an issue about it. Read more or ask a question about providerZakmax Want to thank TFD for its existence?
