Fibrinolysis is shown by Jorge and Bauer (1996) as one of the causes for alveolitis and Jensen (1978) recommends the use of cones containing acetylsalicylic acid and propylic ester of p-hydroxybenzoic acid as treatment, because this ester reduces and inhibits the activity of the plasmin, preventing the fibrinolysis.
