projectile vomiting

vomiting /vom·it·ing/ (-ing) forcible ejection of contents of stomach through the mouth.
cyclic vomiting  recurring attacks of vomiting.
dry vomiting  attempts at vomiting, with the ejection of nothing but gas.
pernicious vomiting  vomiting in pregnancy so severe as to threaten life.
vomiting of pregnancy  that occurring in pregnancy, especially early morning vomiting (morning sickness).
projectile vomiting  vomiting with the material ejected with great force.
stercoraceous vomiting  vomiting of fecal matter.

expulsive vomiting that is extremely forceful, with vomitus expelled some distance.

forceful vomiting, usually without preceding retching, in which the vomitus is thrown well forward. In dogs and cats, a feature of gastric retention and particularly pyloric obstruction. Cattle do not vomit easily and when they do it is usually projectile and voluminous.
