various forms of these diseases, all characterized by progressive paresis, paralysis and local muscle atrophy, progressive muscular dystrophy, are recorded in dogs (Brittany spaniel, Rottweiler, Swedish Lapland), horses, Brown Swiss calves, pigs (Yorkshire, Hampshire).

progressive nasal hematoma

a disease of horses characterized by epistaxis and nasal obstruction. The large hemorrhagic mass originates from the ethmoid region and has a high rate of recurrence after surgery. Called also hemorrhagic nasal polyp, progressive ethmoidal hematoma.
