Q. Is it safe for teenagers to use weight loss products? This isn't an ethical question, but quite literally asking if it is safe for a teenager to use weight loss solutions like weight loss milkshakes and other things of that nature. Thanks in advance!

A. Well, do you mean meal replacement shakes? It should be fine as long as you only use it as a supplement to a well balanced, nutritionally strong eating plan. I would NOT take any pills of any kind. I have heard of horror stories where young men took weight loss pills and energy pills and suffered from heart attacks.

But if you just want to take some whey protein shakes or a meal replacement shake then you should be fine.

Of course you should consult your doctor before starting any exercise plan.

Q. Are there food products that improve asthma? I have asthma and was told that some products make it worse... would like to know which ones these are and if there are also some that improve the breathing... thanks!

A. Good question. It depends on your allergic status. Most of people living with asthma have some allergy. For dust, pollens, milk protein, exotic fruits and so on. All of foods, which initiate a little bit of IgE mediate allegic reaction in your body, can (but not necessary) improve your asthma. I suggest you have made allergy tests blood sample for specific IgE antibodies (inhalative and nutritive), and Prick-test for yourself. You must avoid foods made positive reaction.
Ps: specific nutritive IgE tests from blood examines lots of food from avokado to zucchini.

Q. i am allergic to milk products , what are the accepted treatments for this kind of allergy?

A. i too am allergic to milk, and i love milk,so i just cut down my intake of milk, try that, don"t drink as much.
