production [pro-duk´shun]
the creation or bringing forth of something.
carbon dioxide production the amount of carbon dioxide produced by the tissues, measured as the amount of carbon dioxide given off by the lungs; normally 200 ml/min (or 3.0 ml/kg/min), but increased with increased metabolic rate.

production,
n the amount of work that can be accomplished in a specific length of time.

production
1. the act of producing.
2. the total of things produced.

animal production
production diseases
diseases caused by systems of management, especially feeding and the breeding of high-producing strains of animals and birds, in which production exceeds dietary and thermal input. Includes the group of diseases known in veterinary literature as 'metabolic diseases'. They differ from nutritional deficiencies in which it is the nutritional supply which falls short of normal production.
production efficiency
the efficiency of conversion of feedstuffs to animal product. The basis of the cost-efficiency of any animal production undertaking.
production function
the relationship between the input of a single variable and the output of the product.
production indices
specific indices such as live pigs produced per sow per year, intercalving interval, rate of gain of body weight per day in beef cattle, used as benchmarks of productivity.
production ketosis
ketosis (acetonemia) as a production disease, one which is produced by animal management; failure of the dietary input to satisfy the demands of the energy output in milk.
production losses
product which is produced but not harvested or sold, e.g. mastitic milk from cows with mastitis.
production medicine
see production diseases (above).
production program
a schedule of activities relating to feeding, breeding and health maintenance aimed at maximizing the profitability of an animal enterprise. Includes the establishment of targets of production in the areas of specific indices of productivity and the monitoring of production. The programs may be computerized so that the entry of data is simplified and analysis of the data automatic and regularly periodic. The establishment of programs and their maintenance by way of modification of practices and strategies to match changes of production efficiency require the participation of species specialists. See also management factors.

production
Substance abuse The manufacture, planting, cultivation, growing, or harvesting of a controlled substance or marijuana

Q. Is it safe for teenagers to use weight loss products? This isn't an ethical question, but quite literally asking if it is safe for a teenager to use weight loss solutions like weight loss milkshakes and other things of that nature. Thanks in advance!

A. Well, do you mean meal replacement shakes? It should be fine as long as you only use it as a supplement to a well balanced, nutritionally strong eating plan. I would NOT take any pills of any kind. I have heard of horror stories where young men took weight loss pills and energy pills and suffered from heart attacks.

But if you just want to take some whey protein shakes or a meal replacement shake then you should be fine.

Of course you should consult your doctor before starting any exercise plan.

Q. Are there food products that improve asthma? I have asthma and was told that some products make it worse... would like to know which ones these are and if there are also some that improve the breathing... thanks!

A. Good question. It depends on your allergic status. Most of people living with asthma have some allergy. For dust, pollens, milk protein, exotic fruits and so on. All of foods, which initiate a little bit of IgE mediate allegic reaction in your body, can (but not necessary) improve your asthma. I suggest you have made allergy tests blood sample for specific IgE antibodies (inhalative and nutritive), and Prick-test for yourself. You must avoid foods made positive reaction.
Ps: specific nutritive IgE tests from blood examines lots of food from avokado to zucchini.

Q. i am allergic to milk products , what are the accepted treatments for this kind of allergy?

A. i too am allergic to milk, and i love milk,so i just cut down my intake of milk, try that, don"t drink as much.

The firm has decided to improve production efficiency of 90,000 glass substrates per month to 100,000 substrates after August.
This improves production efficiency by recovering the amount of low-pressure gas that would otherwise be flared off.
The new brochure includes detailed information on displacement cooling for food preparation areas in both high and low applications; specialised blast chilling systems to give guaranteed temperature of both high and low risk products; systems to 'crust freeze' products to maximise slicing efficiency and freezing tunnels to provide increased production efficiency and product throughput.
