A smokeless cigarette produced briefly by RJ Reynolds in 1988 which heated and aerosolised the tobacco to give the ‘smoker’ the desired nicotine ‘high’, while reducing the adverse side effects of burning tobacco, both to the smoker and surrounding nonsmokers.
