n the part of an extraoral orthodontic appliance that engages the back of the head, incorporating the skull as a source of resistance for tooth movement, and gives attachment to the intraoral element of the appliance.
headcap, plaster,
n a cap that is constructed of plaster-of-paris gauze and embodies points for applying fixation and traction appliances in the treatment of mandibular and maxillofacial injuries.
