Pharyngitis
Inflammation of the throat, accompanied by dryness and pain. Pharyngitis caused by a streptococcal infection is the usual trigger of Sydenham's chorea.

pharyngitis
inflammation of the pharynx, characterized by coughing, painful swallowing and lack of appetite. The throat is sore on palpation. In severe cases food and saliva may be regurgitated through the nostrils.

chronic equine pharyngitis
is relatively common after viral infections. There is persistent coughing and moderate dyspnea on exercise. Training cannot be done. Endoscopic examination shows lymphoid infiltration and follicular hyperplasia.
