Q. How do I tell my friend his smoking is affecting my asthma? I recently was diagnosed with asthma. Today I almost pass out from second hand smoke @ work. My co-worker smokes but also let his clothes smoke with him - After his smoke break I literally have to leave - he knows I have asthma - how can I tell him without consequences from manager and other co-workers or making him feel bad?

A. I would just tell him about your condition and that it bothers you. I would ask him to not smoke around you. If he does not respond to your niceness then I would go to Human Resources or a manager and deal with it that way. Besides, his smoke breaks take up a lot of time from the company and is consider time-theft.

Q. Where is the best place to get Fibromyalgia treatment? I encountered some inexperienced hospitals that didn’t help too much. and I’de like to know if there is a recommended place/doctor.

I had seen this site but so many of the doctors have not been in touch for years ...that's why I was wondering about Alice's location. I understand how hard locating doctors and hospitals can be!I have found this site very helpful and I am sure if Alice lets us know an area if someone on Imedix has knowledge of a good hospital and doctor they will let her know ASAP. A. I, too, have asthma and I can honestly say that the only place I have been where I wasn't bothered by it was Rapid City, South Dakota. Sounds strange because of the high elevation but Rapid City is tucked away at the base of the Black Hills. It seems to miss a lot of the bad weather, heavy snow fall, high winds...etc... Whatever you do, stay away from Dallas, Houston or Austin! It is about to Cedar Fever again in Austin! Good luck.
