pheniramine /phen·ir·amine/ (fen-ir´ah-mēn) an antihistamine with anticholinergic and sedative effects, used as the maleate salt.
pheniramine [fĕ-nir´ah-min]
an antihistamine with sedative properties, used as the maleate salt in the treatment of allergic disorders, including rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and pruritic skin disorders; administered orally, intranasally, or topically to the conjunctiva. It is also used as an ingredient in cough and cold preparations, administered orally.
