A UK term of art for a GP (all GPs are required by law to be registered on a primary care trusts (PCT)’s Performer List in order to work within the area covered by the PCT). Performers are often partners in a GP practice, but may include locum, out-of-hours (OOH), and salaried doctors. Practice partners were previously known as GP principals.
